The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development maintains a website with a variety of information on the unemployment benefits that are available from the State of New Jersey. The website, located at http://lwd.dol.state.nj.us/labor/ui/ui_index.html, includes details on eligibility, how benefits are calculated and information regarding the extension of benefits as the result of recently approved federal legislation.



File Online

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development provides a website to allow you to file a new claim for unemployment benefits online. The website also allows those with a continued need for unemployment benefits to file their weekly claim for payment.

Additionally, you may file a claim for unemployment benefits by telephone. The Department of Labor and Workforce Development maintains several Reemployment Call Centers located regionally throughout the state.
